FINDING LIFE BALANCE

There has always been quite a bit of buzz in the personal development industry about "finding life balance".  It seems that everyone is seeking this "life balance"... and more importantly wondering what to do to get it. 

Life balance means different things to different people.  You might imagine “life balance” to be when there is an equal amount of energy dispersed to all the pieces of the pie of your life.  

For some it may mean a feeling of organization, for some it is a sense of freedom, for others it may be emotional serenity. How do you define life balance? This is the most important question, and the first step in creating it in your life. 

You must remember however, that balance is simply a state of energetic and emotional alignment.  It is a state of perceived equilibrium that is achieved when your emotional resonance is in alignment with what you desire in your life.  Note that I say “perceived” equilibrium…your may intuition echo this notion on some level, that to be perfectly balanced in life may represent stagnation in the realm of energetic.  However, achieving the experience of balance through the alignment of your thought’s emotions, and desires warrants some serious attention!

The desire to have “life balance” actually represents one thing.   It’s that you want something that you do not yet have, hence setting up the desire for what balance represents to you in the first place.   Also, if you desire more in your life than you believe you can have - you may experience a sense of misalignment, and feel out of balance. There are many reasons that you might fall out of alignment or balance – you know which topics are hot for you.

Life offers you issues and opportunities to evolve your being on a daily basis.  Choose to see these life issues as gifts that keep you yearning to find your center, and as you find your center, you are evolving YOU, your broader spiritual being.

You could…if you wanted to, come to appreciate the feeling of “out of balance”  - as it is a launching pad for new spiritual evolution and personal growth, which leads to JOY!  And isn’t that why you are here?  

 So, let's talk a little more about how to create the experience life balance....here are a few tips from my perspective.
     

  1. Know that the experience of balance is one thought away.  You do have the power to choose it, or at least become one thought or vibration closer to what you want and expect life to look like.  In one moment you can make a choice to be centered, even if that means "take a deep breath."

  2. Keep your desires clear. Ask yourself, are my intentions muddied by thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that are not in support of where are I want to go? If the answer is yes, then keep reaching for thoughts and emotions that support the joy of your desires.  Your awareness or choice to become aware can be part of a huge shift in your experience of life.

  3. Balance the emotional journey with the action journey. How you feel is much more important that what you do.  What you do is important - but make sure you are taking "inspired action" ...which of course was brought forth from such a juicy emotional journey!  If life feels out of balance, take only inspired actions.

  4. Be cognizant of your resistance.  Resistance is the feeling of negativity that you experience when you are not emotionally aligned with your desires and goals.  This may just feel like “out of balance”… and to come into balance, notice where you are, and make a powerful choice to think and emote in a way that serves you.  You are a conscious creator – think and emote on purpose.

  5. When you experience difficulty in your life use it as an opportunity to become even more crystal clear about your dreams and what you want.  Use the “hard times” as spring board.  Ask yourself, hmmmm, now how did I attract this and create this in my life, and what do I really want?

  6. With that said,  know there is no "random". Life balance, or the experience of it, is a state that you create, period. You don't randomly get picked for a terrible career, you don't randomly get in a car accident. You are a magnet, and you live in a world of attraction.  It is the lovely and beautiful truth. Truly, when you start to step into this state, you will begin to realize how absolutely powerful you are.

  7. Do not let others needs, circumstances, emotional balance supersede your own.  Self care...this is something that is foundational to an emotional resonance that brings forth a state and an experience of life balance. Do you put yourself first? Do you honor yourself as the perfect spiritual being that you are? Do you honor yourself enough to step into your power? Do you allow yourself to make "mistakes", learn from then, and know you are perfect no matter what?  Do you give yourself permission to believe in things that serve your highest good? Do you give yourself permission to want more? There are millions of different ways to take care of your self and allow this resonance to permeate your life. Find what feels good to you....

And a bonus!

  1. Do not forget to ask yourself, what does life balance look like to me? What would it feel like?  Focus on the feeling of balance, visualize it to a tee...step into this place and know that it exists within yourself, versus outside of yourself. Will you allow yourself to step into life balance?  How about...RIGHT NOW?
